Under general supervision of the Managing Director of Competitions and Athlete Services, the FEI Services Assistant assists in the coordination of the FEI Draft and Definite schedules, performs basic accounting functions related to the collection of FEI fees, issues invitations and facilitates competitors as needed, verifies competition results before forwarding them to the FEI, and performs a variety of clerical duties. This position provides primary customer support by effectively assisting in the FEI Registration Process for both horses and riders, distributing FEI Registration forms, maintaining files, processing and verifying horse and rider information in AHSD and the FEI website, communicating effectively with riders and the FEI regarding registration, and working productively with Discipline Directors and Passport Representatives to verify riders and horses are registered for events. This position is also responsible for all U.S. FEI competition entries.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
An equine background sufficient to provide basic knowledge of the sport horse industry is required. Two years clerical or customer service experience strongly preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to diffuse difficult situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be proficient in MS Office applications including Word and Excel.
