Job Details

The Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for creating quality high-end assets across a wide range of marketing and communication materials. The individual works on projects from concepts to completion, producing advertising assets, magazines, brochures, marketing collateral, interactive content, environmental/venue graphics and assisting with brand strategy. This position requires someone well versed in the principals of design and typography – within the realm of corporate and brand identity.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program managers to effectively design and deliver all materials as requested
  • Design print, digital, environmental, web, email, social and other forms of marketing materials promoting all youth development brands and programs
  • Aid in delivering sales and sponsorship collateral by creating attention-grabbing presentations, sell sheets, and desired content
  • Coordinate and communicate with external vendors regarding any design related questions including approval of press proofs
  • Assist across other departments with design projects in business categories such as Nascar, beer, chocolate, and other consumer facing brands for Strike Ten Entertainment
  • Work within project management systems (Robohead, Asana)
  • Assist with the daily and weekly posts for social platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat)
  • Assist with the planning and execution of social campaigns across all youth programming that delivers compelling content and grow user engagement (Hootsuite, Simply Measured)
  • Learn and be responsible for following the creative file and image archiving system
  • Work closely with internal teams, providing marketing solutions and strategic guidance
  • Able to travel to and work events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Ability to take initiative and learn all aspects of position including the products and services
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities
  • A high level of accountability, taking ownership of your work and responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong prioritization skills


  • Bachelors or Associate degree in Art, Fine Art, Graphic Design, or Visual Communication is preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in graphic design, or an equivalent portfolio and work examples
  • Knowledgeable in converting and preparing files for both print and web
  • Ability to replicate IBC Youth design aesthetics and brand standards throughout materials
  • Coachable and receptive to input and direction from others
  • Can easily handle multiple projects and “urgent” demands side by side
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to pass USBC Registered Volunteer Program background screen as a condition of employment and on an annual basis as a condition of continued employment to ensure appropriate protection is given to the youth involved in our programs required
