Under direction of the Director of Licensed Officials, this position processes all licensing requests for US Equestrian officials, prepares information for committee meetings, and updates licensing requirements. Additionally, this position assists licensed officials with education needs/questions and provides customer service to officials, staff, and other members. In addition to processing all licensing requests, this position is responsible for maintaining and monitoring assigned licensed officials’ files to ensure accurate and complete information. Licensed Officials & Education Coordinators serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing licensed officials, as well as US Equestrian staff, for all questions regarding licensed officials and the licensing process. This position also participates as needed in Licensed Officials Education Programs, including traveling to clinics.
EDUCATION - High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE - At least one year of experience in a customer service and/or office environment required. Bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience requirement. Knowledge of the equine industry and US Equestrian rules preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Must be proficient in the use of standard office equipment, MS Office applications, and the Internet. Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Must have effective data entry skills, excellent organizational skills, and strong oral and written communication skills. Must exhibit exceptional customer service skills, including tact and diplomacy to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to sit for long periods, work at a computer for long periods of time, and lift up to 25 lbs. Some travel required.
