Primary Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of the program’s competitive events including regional and national showcases and championships
  • Plan and execute all on-site event logistics to create a world-class environment that supports player, coach and referee development
  • Develop a network of extraordinary event operations personnel; hire and manage staff for all events  
  • Oversee venue selection for Academy events; plan site visits, solicit bids from tourism and convention bureaus, and manage contracts
  • Coordinate events within desired budget
  • Work with U.S. Soccer travel partner, Anthony Travel to secure hotels needed for Academy and U.S. Soccer staff, as well as room blocks for teams
  • Collect, analyze and report data on facility and event related trends
  • Initiate the creation of content and signage with consistent messaging for all on-site events
  • Manage travel and logistics for additional events and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of the sport and the overall soccer landscape in the US
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver high quality work and execute under pressure/deadlines
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize workflow
  • Proficient with technology programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Keynote, etc.)
  • Experience planning/executing events and managing hotel contracts is a plus
  • Experience in developing/supporting technology platforms or database management is a plus
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
