The Human Resources/Payroll Coordinator will perform clerical and payroll functions.   This includes maintaining records, processing time sheets for 110 employees, entering data into the payroll system, and processing payroll. This position is also responsible for reviewing tax reports and ensuring that the tax payments are made in a timely manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review and ensure timecard exceptions and approvals are completed by the deadline
  • Submit garnishments, support orders, etc. to payroll provider for processing
  • Bi-weekly and/or off cycle submission of payroll information to payroll provider for processing
  • Review payroll previews for accuracy and authorize approval
  • Complete unemployment wage verifications
  • Assist employees & external sources with payroll related inquires
  • Manage payroll provider tax notices from payroll provider and ensure payroll provider has processed timely
  • Process out of State registration package for state taxes and local taxes
  • Review and approve W2 by payroll provider deadline
  • Maintain and update payroll manual
  • Prepare and maintain all Payroll files
  • Compile information for payroll, 401K, & workers compensation audit
  • Train new employees on ADP Time and Attendance module
  • Provide clerical support including filing, copying, scanning documents, and phone support; prepare mass mailings; generate correspondence; maintain supply of new hire and benefits literature; order and maintain supplies; opens/sort/distribute HR department mail
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, and lunch and learns
  • Set up conference calls and meeting room
  • Track information and timeline progress of assignments and projects
  • Other special projects assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 2 to 3 years of recent hands-on payroll experience with ADP WorkforceNow
  • 2 to 3 years of administrative experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of U.S. State and Federal wage and hour laws and regulations regarding payroll and related areas (unemployment reporting, garnishments, workers’ comp reporting, support orders, employment/salary  verifications) required
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point), Windows
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Sound judgment and discretion
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required
  • Excellent time management skills to meet strict deadlines
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
