Job Details

Under the direction of the Creative Director, this position is responsible for creating and revising designs for US Equestrian; liaising with managers, clients and printers; overseeing all aspects of design both for web and print production; maintaining knowledge of current design trends; and managing design workflow in a timely fashion.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or closely related field such as Visual Communications, Graphic Technology, Web Design, Art, Advertising, etc.  Associates Degree in aforementioned fields plus three years of experience or six years of directly-related experience alone may substitute for Bachelor’s Degree.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver is required.  Experience with basics of HTML and CSS required.  One – two years of graphic design experience is preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Exceptional written communication skills (i.e. spelling, grammar, proper formatting, proofreading, e-mail etiquette, etc.) required as well as a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Must have the ability to:  demonstrate creativity in design, use Illustrator in creating and manipulating vector images, use Photoshop to manipulate photographs and other digital images, use InDesign in the layout of digital and print publications, use Dreamweaver to perform web updates and create e-blasts, and handle multiple projects at one time and meet tight deadlines.  Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must be capable of sedentary work at a computer.  Must be capable of fine, repetitive hand movements such as would be used in controlling a computer mouse.
