The Youth Marketing Manager is responsible for executing all youth marketing programming efforts by working with the Youth Development team in the strategic planning and implementation of the organization’s business marketing goals and objectives. This position requires a strong project and event management skill set with an emphasis on the ability to formulate ideas for the strategic direction of marketing, promotion, and social strategies for youth bowling.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead execution, planning and prioritization for all youth program marketing and creative efforts in coordination with the team’s Graphic Design Specialist and department stakeholders
  • Manage the day to day email-marketing promotional needs (targeted emails, newsletters, both B2B and B2C utilizing Constant Contact)
  • Assist with client services in managing the deliverables set forth across all youth business sponsorships (meetings, print and digital assets, reports)
  • Manage the daily and weekly posts for youth social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat)
  • Development, planning and execution of social campaigns across all youth programming that delivers compelling content and grow user engagement (Hootsuite, Simply Measured)
  • Manage the operational needs of all youth program web updates and advertisements (custom CMS system, Google Ad Publisher)
  • Oversee marketing for youth tournaments including but not limited to: print and digital signage, communication, TV production sets, client relations (Junior Gold Championships, Youth Open, USA Bowling Regional & National Championships, Intercollegiate Singles & Team Championships)
  • Ideation to implementation the organization’s largest annual youth celebration event (Junior Gold Opening Ceremony; 3500 athletes, 6500 spectators)
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators for marketing initiatives, providing update weekly and monthly reports, and adjusting or course corrections as needed
  • Operational oversight of marketing purchase requests, inventory management, budgeting and monitoring of expenses involving cross-departmental collaboration
  • Deliver and execute regular and annual surveys to key stakeholders through testing data collection and providing results in a timely manner (SurveyMonkey)
  • Oversee scholarship, award, and grant platform system, providing support both internally and externally to applicants and reviewers (FluidReview by SurveyMonkey)
  • Coordinate efforts for youth events including trade shows and other consumer based events that would strengthen the position of youth bowling
  • Work closely with internal teams, providing marketing solutions and strategic guidance
  • Able to travel to and work events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Advertising, Communications, Sport Management or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years marketing experience with a focus in project and event management including B2B and B2C integration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Knowledge in Adobe Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat
  • Content management and website editing experience
  • Experience with preparing campaign recaps and marketing analytics reports
  • Outstanding attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to pass USBC Registered Volunteer Program background screen as a condition of employment and on an annual basis as a condition of continued employment to ensure appropriate protection is given to the youth involved in our programs required
